The World Keeps Running

The World Keeps Running is a new online initiative of the International Association of Athletics Federations – the world governing body of athletics.
The online project, part of the IAAF Athletics’ World Plan that was created in 2003, aims to provide all people with the greatest opportunities to participate in Athletics. Using heroes like Usain Bolt, Haile Gebrselassie and Allyson Felix as its figureheads, The World Keeps Running is designed to raise awareness of health and fitness issues.
The focal point of the campaign is a website, which 13strides was given a free rein to devise and design. What’s more, we were asked to create all of the content, including the technically-driven “Advice” and “Training Schedules” sections.
“Inspiring participation in sport” is our mission statement, and with the added impetus of emphasising the sizeable health benefits of taking part in sport, this was clearly a project that melded beautifully with our own principles and objectives.
